Our Roots & Values
The original owner of Carpenter Bus Sales, Harmon Headden, taught his son and present owner, Henry Headden, that being a person of integrity is more valuable than any monetary possession.
Our company began in 1953 as a school bus dealer representing Carpenter Body Works. For twenty-nine years, we served the school bus market exclusively. However, as the industry evolved, so did we. In 1982, we expanded into the commercial mini-bus market. Within just nine months, the demand for our mini-buses was so overwhelming that we made the strategic decision to focus solely on the commercial industry—a specialization we have perfected over the last 40+ years.
Led by Experience: Henry Headden
Henry H. Headden, President and Owner of Carpenter Bus Sales, has devoted over 38 years to providing reliable and safe transportation to organizations nationwide. After earning his Engineering degree from the University of Tennessee, Henry joined the family business in 1973 to work alongside his father.
Under Henry's leadership, Carpenter Bus Sales has become recognized as America's #1 Church Bus Dealer.
