Passenger counts include the driver, and our largest buses carry up to 45 people. SCDMV requires a CDL with a Passenger endorsement, which includes a knowledge test and a skills test, for any vehicle designed to carry 16 or more people. If you carry students or child care children, also check Jacob's Law (Code Section 56-5-195). Confirm with SCDMV before you buy.

For most schools and child care programs, that points to an activity bus (MFSAB). Check the current law with your attorney or the SC Department of Social Services before you buy.
