Passenger counts include the driver, and our largest buses carry up to 45 people. Georgia uses "Class C" for both the everyday license and the smallest commercial license, which confuses a lot of buyers. The Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) issues the commercial Class C only for vehicles designed to carry 16 or more people. Confirm with DDS before you buy.

- Timing: In-stock buses can often be delivered the same week or the next, and almost always within a month. Factory orders take 60 days to 9 months, depending on chassis availability.
- Cost: Delivery is charged per mile, one way. Your specialist will give you the current rate. Bargain Bus Deals buses are pickup only.
- Lettering: Your church, school, or company name can go on before delivery. Plan on a couple of extra weeks.
Georgia Bus FAQ
For a bus designed for 15 or fewer people, including the driver, a regular Georgia license is usually enough. For 16 or more, Georgia generally requires a commercial license with a Passenger endorsement: a commercial Class C under 26,001 pounds, or a Class B at 26,001 pounds or more. Churches don't get a general CDL exemption, so confirm with Georgia DDS before you buy.
Randy Sadler, Service Manager at Carpenter Bus Sales, says routine maintenance at our Tennessee shop runs about $2,245 a year for a 15-passenger gas bus and about $3,825 a year for a 38-passenger Freightliner diesel, at about 12,000 miles a year. Yes. We keep used shuttle and church buses in stock, and used church buses generally run $40,000 to $80,000 depending on year, mileage, and condition. A used bus keeps any remaining factory warranty, and an optional service contract is available.
We don't sell full-size highway motorcoaches. Our buses carry up to 45 people, including the driver. For a more upscale ride with a smaller group, our L.A. West luxury executive coaches are a good fit, and our large buses seat 31 to 45.
