Passenger counts include the driver, and our largest buses carry up to 45 people. Arkansas uses the federal CDL lines: a vehicle designed for 16 or more people needs a CDL, and one rated at 26,001 pounds or more needs a Class A or B. For smaller buses, Arkansas lists a P endorsement on the Class D license for carrying up to 15 passengers for non-commercial purposes. Confirm with Arkansas Driver Services before you buy.

We deliver anywhere in Arkansas, from Bentonville and Fayetteville to Little Rock, Hot Springs, Jonesboro, and the Delta. If you'd like to see a bus first, both of our locations are a day's drive from most of the state.

Pick the Closer Lot: Franklin, Tennessee is the shorter trip from central and eastern Arkansas. Elm Mott, Texas is shorter from the western side of the state. Both are open Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM Central.
Timing: In-stock buses can often be delivered the same week or the next, and almost always within a month. Factory orders take 60 days to 9 months, depending on chassis availability.
Cost: Delivery is charged per mile, one way. Ask your specialist for the current rate. Bargain Bus Deals buses are pickup only.
Lettering: We can put your church or school name on the bus before it leaves. Plan on a couple of extra weeks.

Arkansas Bus FAQ

For a bus designed for 15 or fewer people, including the driver, Arkansas drivers generally use the regular Class D license. Arkansas also lists a P endorsement on the Class D that authorizes carrying up to 15 passengers for non-commercial purposes, so ask Arkansas Driver Services whether your drivers need it. Buses designed for 16 or more people generally require a CDL with a Passenger endorsement.

We don't sell full-size highway motorcoaches. Our buses carry up to 45 people, including the driver. For a more upscale ride for a smaller group, look at our L.A. West luxury executive coaches. For bigger groups, our large buses seat 31 to 45.

Yes. We keep used shuttle buses in stock, and used church buses generally run $40,000 to $80,000 depending on year, mileage, and condition. Used buses carry whatever factory warranty remains, and an optional service contract is available. Your specialist can tell you what's on the lot now.

We don't sell yellow school buses. Private schools have more flexibility than public schools, so many choose one of our shuttle buses for athletics, field trips, and activities. We can also supply activity buses (MFSABs), built to the same federal structural standards as a yellow school bus. Check Arkansas rules before using any bus for daily routes.

It depends on where you are. From Little Rock, Jonesboro, and eastern Arkansas, our Franklin, Tennessee headquarters, about 20 minutes south of Nashville, is the shorter drive. From Fort Smith, Texarkana, and western Arkansas, our Elm Mott, Texas location, just north of Waco, is closer.

Arkansas Agencies to Know

In Arkansas, the Department of Finance and Administration (DFA) handles most of what a bus owner needs. Rules can change, so confirm the details with each office.

Driver Licenses: DFA Driver Services issues Class D licenses, the P endorsement, and commercial driver's licenses (CDLs).
Title and Registration: DFA's Office of Motor Vehicle titles and registers your bus. Your paperwork from us starts with the titling form you complete with your specialist.
Child Care Transportation: The Arkansas Department of Education's Office of Early Childhood licenses child care centers. Check its rules before you choose a bus for transporting children.
Federal Rules: The FMCSA sets the federal CDL rules Arkansas follows, and NHTSA sets the safety standards new buses are built to.
